Terms and Conditions

Weather- Doody Scouts will attempt to perform all services during the week you were scheduled to be served. If your service is scheduled for the end of the week, we may try and service before the weather hits, or we may move your service to the beginning of the following week. If moved to the following week, we will still complete your normal service on the scheduled day, later in the week. Due to making up for the weather our days may run long due to extra waste, or chipping out frozen waste. Generally we will notify you before noon if your service time or day needs to be rescheduled. All of our policies exist to protect our employees, as well as to protect the homeowner/client from any accidents occurring on their property.

1. Arctic cold temperatures with wind chills, temperatures under 32 degrees- It is impossible for our technicians to warm up. Our technicians spend 3/4 of their day outside. Because of this we will make the decision to reschedule services to a different time, where temperatures are expected to be under 32 degrees.

2. Snow or Ice- When there is over 1/2 inch of snow or any ice on roadways, or driveways we will make the determination as to when our employees will resume scooping (typically within 1-2 days depending on specific circumstances of the storm). We will call when we need to reschedule. This is due to the following challenges:

  1. Inability to see the bulk of the dog waste.

  2. Gates and walkways are typically not shoveled after a significant snow.

  3. Ice

  4. Hazardous road conditions

  5. Extreme weather making outside work hazardous.

  6. The Governor declares a weather emergency

3. Flooding- If your yard is flooding, we cant scoop. We will cancel your service for that day, and come back, or call to see if the situation has changed.

4. Severe Thunderstorms- We will call you and reschedule or delay services due to Thunderstorm Warnings, or Tornado Watches and Tornado Warnings.
